Description
Nolina recurvata, commonly called Elephant’s Foot or Ponytail Palm, features a distinctive swollen woody base that stores water, lending it exceptional drought resistance and its characteristic “elephant foot” look. Its long, slender, arching leaves form a fountain-like crown of green foliage, adding a sculptural element to indoor and outdoor spaces. This plant gradually grows taller, resembling a miniature Willow tree. Although mature specimens can produce small white flower clusters, flowering is rare in indoor environments.
Environment
Ponytail Palm plant is easy to grow and drought-tolerant. It needs bright light to full sun and a fast draining soil.
Allow soil to dry out a bit between waterings. Its swollen base stores water, so occasional lack of water will do no harm plant is easy to grow and drought-tolerant.
