Description
ย
The Hoya Patella White Plant is renowned for its robust growth and stunning star-shaped flowers. Its Elliptical to lanceolate leaves range from bright to dark green, boasting a glossy finish. As a highly coveted variant, the “white” variation offers a delicate and porcelain-like appearance, making it a favorite among collectors.
The flowers feature shiny, waxy, and distinctively shaped corollas that are creamy white and slightly curled at the edges, resembling a small dish (hence the name patella, meaning “small dish”). The center of the corolla is bright magenta or deep red, creating a striking contrast with the pale petals.
These relatively large flowers, about 2-3 cm in diameter, emit a mild fragrance that is most noticeable at night. Blooming in small umbels of 1-4 flowers, the Hoya Patella White Plant typically flowers in the summer but can bloom multiple times a year with proper care.

Environment
Easy to grow & don”t require much attention. Hoya do best in filtered light or with lots of artificial light in indoors.
Hoya plants don’t ask for much, beyond the well-draining soil and the warm humid conditions ((similar to bromeliads and orchids)
They are epyphite, can be grown in orchid medium or light potting mix with lots of bark conditioner. Hoya like the security of a snug pot, and plants that are a bit root bound will flower more prolifically than those that are swimming around in a giant pot.
This plant is attractive to bees, butterflies and/or birds .
Landscape Use
It makes a nice hanging basket, but also does really well as a mounted plant
