Description
Echinopsis subdenudata inermis is a rare spineless variant of the popular Domino Cactus (Echinopsis subdenudata). This dark green, spherical cactus features bright white areoles but no spines, making it safe to handle and perfect for indoor cultivation.
The plant is globular with solitary or basal offsets, measuring 5-8 cm tall and 7-12 cm in diameter. It produces striking, fragrant white flowers that bloom at night, reaching up to 22 cm in length. These flowers open in the evening and fade by the next afternoon in warm conditions.
Its compact growth and rarity make it a valued item for collectors, while its low maintenance suits expert growers.
Environment
This species flourishes best in limestone along with good potting material. Requires moderate watering and should be completely drained during summers. Winters need less watering. Sunlight loving, these Cactus should be protected from the harsh sun but afternoon sunlight is good for their growth.
