Description
Echinopsis subdenudata, commonly referred to as the Domino Cactus or Night Blooming Hedgehog, is a distinctive globular cactus characterized by its dark green body adorned with unique white areoles resembling domino patterns.
Unlike the rare inermis form, this cactus is not fully spineless — its areoles may carry tiny, short spines or bristles and produces striking, fragrant white flowers up to 22 cm in length that bloom at night. The stems are solitary or form offsets near the base, presenting a grey-green, globose shape with a slightly flattened top, measuring 5-8 cm in height and 7-12 cm across.
Flowers open in the evening and fade by the following afternoon in warm conditions.
