Description

The Bonsai Podocarpus, also known as Buddhist Pine, is a resilient evergreen bonsai prized for its dense, needle-like foliage and elegant upright form. Featuring dark green, leathery leaves on sturdy branches, it adapts well to shaping and suits both formal and informal upright styles.

Ideal for warm climates, it thrives indoors or in semi-shaded outdoor areas. Environment

The Bonsai Podocarpus prefers consistently moist soil but requires excellent drainage to prevent waterlogging. Its small, leathery leaves minimize water loss through transpiration, so overwatering should be avoided to prevent root rot, indicated by gray needles. 

To maintain optimal humidity, use misting and place the bonsai on a shallow humidity tray filled with stones and water, ensuring the water level stays below the pot’s base. This setup replicates the plant’s natural environment by providing balanced moisture without saturating the roots.
