Environment
Ficus plants require a consistent moisture level at their roots, allowing the soil surface to dry slightly between waterings without letting it dry out completely. They are adaptable to various soil types, provided the soil does not remain waterlogged.
During the growing season, apply houseplant fertilizer at half the recommended strength once weekly, avoiding fertilization if the plant is unwell. Leaf drop is common when relocating the plant due to changes in watering, humidity, and light, signaling a seasonal shift. This is normal, and new growth typically appears within two weeks.
