The Bonsai Forest Divi Divi Plant is a miniature forest arrangement featuring Caesalpinia coriaria, a tropical tree known for its twisted trunk, compound leaves, and naturally windswept appearance. This slow-growing, thornless tree has tiny evergreen foliage less than half an inch long and seed pods that contain tannin. While it grows slowly, the tree benefits from ample watering during the active growing season. For optimal health, plant it in a location that receives at least eight hours of direct sunlight daily. According to the Food and Agriculture Organization, Divi Divi begins flowering and producing seed pods between five and seven years of age. Young seedlings are sensitive to frost and dry, hot winds, so protection from these conditions is essential.
