Description
A very rare dwarf bauhinia is great for bonsai. It has very tiny leaves that are interestingly shaped like ox hooves. Yellow flowers appear starting in spring…then less…then more, all months into autumn. During winter the leaves are semi-deciduous, if temperatures are not above 65 degrees Fahrenheit. It is a great flowering indoor bonsai.
The Lemonia Spectabilis Variegata Bonsai stands out with its uniquely variegated leaves, enhancing its decorative appeal. Its rare foliage design combined with the bonsai shape makes it a prized specimen for collectors.

They are also lovely specimen trees, if you prune them their first few years so the canopy is properly shaped. They may drop their leaves for a month or so if it gets chilly, but they regrow quickly. Sometimes they will even flower during this time, filling the tree with beautiful flowers.
Repotting can be done every two to three years but it depends on the plant growth.
