Description
The Bird of Paradise (Strelitzia reginae) features striking orange and blue flowers that mimic the shape of a bird in flight. It blooms from January to April in lowland areas and from February to May in higher elevations. Plant during October to November to create a tropical centerpiece.

Bird of paradise prefers full sun to partial shade. In hot, direct sun, it may benefit from some afternoon. Use a balanced fertilizer once a month during the growing season (spring and summer) to promote healthy growth and flowering
